- Exact URL when you want data only for a single page

4. Skip Verification (Optional)
Ahrefs allows you to verify ownership by installing the Web Analytics snippet. If you want to track user behavior, copy the code and paste it inside the head tag of all pages.
If you’re only interested in SEO data and don’t want to verify the site at this stage, click Continue Without Verification. I skip verification most of the time when I only need keyword or backlink tracking.
5. Schedule Your Site Audit
This is where you decide how often Ahrefs should crawl your site. I usually pick a weekly audit for active projects and a monthly schedule for low-maintenance sites. You can also set the exact crawl time.

How to Set Up an Ahrefs Project Using GSC
If you already have your site verified in Google Search Console, this method saves a lot of time. I often use it when working on my own websites.
1. Select “Import from Google Search Console”
When you click on “Create Project,” choose Import from GSC instead of manual setup.
2. Connect Your Google Account
Log in to the Google account that contains the Search Console property.
3. Choose the GSC Property You Want to Track
Ahrefs will display a list of all your verified properties. Pick the domain you want to track.
4. Complete Project Setup
Finish the setup, and your project will appear in the dashboard. You can later add keywords, competitors, or customise audit schedules at any time.
